About this calculator
This free peptide calculator helps researchers work out reconstitution, concentration and sample size in the lab — including for BPC-157, TB-500, GHK-Cu, CJC-1295 and other lyophilised peptides used in in vitro studies. Enter your vial amount in mg, your solvent volume in mL and a required sample size in mcg or mg. The tool returns the stock concentration in mg/mL and the transfer volume in mL and microlitres.

Worked examples
Example 1: 10mg peptide vial
Scenario: 10mg peptide, want 250 mcg sample
Suggested solvent volume: Add 2 mL solvent
Result: Transfer 0.05mL (50 µL) for ~250 mcg sample
Example 2: 5mg peptide vial
Scenario: 5mg peptide, want 500 mcg sample
Suggested solvent volume: Add 1 mL solvent
Result: Transfer 0.1mL (100 µL) for ~500 mcg sample

Frequently asked questions
How do I reconstitute lyophilised peptides?
Enter the vial contents in mg and the solvent volume in mL; the tool returns the resulting stock concentration in mg/mL. Solvent selection and all handling are determined by the receiving laboratory under its own protocols. For in vitro research only.
What units does the calculator use?
Mass in milligrams and micrograms, volume in millilitres and microlitres — 1 mg = 1000 mcg, 1 mL = 1000 µL. Both mass fields stay in sync, so you can work in whichever unit your protocol is written in.
Why does it suggest a particular solvent volume?
It favours volumes that land your target aliquot on a round, comfortably pipettable figure, typically between 50 and 500 µL. Below about 10 µL transfer accuracy falls off on most air-displacement pipettes, so the tool steers towards a larger solvent volume rather than a smaller transfer.
How long is a reconstituted solution stable?
Our safety data sheets record stability of up to 28 days at 2–8 °C in aqueous solution for most lyophilised peptides in this range, protected from light; unopened vials are typically held at −20 °C. Figures are compound-specific — the SDS tab on each product page carries that product’s own values.
My vial size is not one of the buttons
Use the “Or enter another vial size” field beneath them. Any vial mass in milligrams works, including sizes that are not on the preset list.
